Welcome to the VFW Resource Center. Whether you are visiting for the first time, returning for additional community support for veterans, or assisting a fellow veteran or family member, this guide is designed to connect you with trusted local, regional, state, and national resources.


Veterans and their loved ones often face challenges related to health care, housing, finances, employment, caregiving, transportation, and navigating benefits. The veteran support resources listed below can help with everything from emergency assistance and food support to VA claims, counseling, housing programs, and family resources for veterans. We encourage you to start with the resource that best matches your current need and reach out directly for assistance.

Benefits, Claims, & Government Assistance

This is a great starting point for veterans and families who need help understanding benefits, filing claims, applying for public assistance, or finding the right government office to contact. These resources can help with VA benefits, county services, state programs, and general assistance navigation.

CalVet

Services Available: State veteran benefits, home loans, college fee waivers, veterans homes, and advocacy services to provide community support for veterans. We also offer family resources for veterans to ensure they have access to necessary veteran support resources.

El Dorado COPE

The loss of a loved one or the stress of long-term medical care can be overwhelming. These resources offer compassionate support, lodging assistance, survivor services, and family-centered programs.
